LandVest Welcomes Joshua McDorman to Lead Mitigation Banking & Environmental Crediting Efforts

LandVest is pleased to welcome Joshua McDorman as Project Manager, Mitigation Banking & Environmental Crediting, further expanding the firm’s expertise in natural capital, conservation, and environmental markets. Josh joins the Land Investments Group with nearly two decades of experience guiding complex environmental compliance, mitigation, and species conservation projects across the country.

His arrival marks an important step in the continued growth of LandVest’s environmental and conservation services. As demand for mitigation banking, environmental crediting, and other natural capital assets continues to accelerate, Josh will help lead the firm’s efforts in marketing, brokerage, and consulting for these increasingly important asset classes.

Prior to joining LandVest, Josh served as a vice president overseeing more than 30 stream, wetland, and species conservation projects nationwide. He directed environmental compliance efforts throughout the project lifecycle, from opportunity evaluation and permitting strategy to regulatory coordination, multidisciplinary field management, and long-term project performance.

What makes Josh’s addition particularly exciting is his ability to bridge the technical and business sides of environmental markets. He is recognized for navigating complex regulatory frameworks, identifying practical solutions, and helping clients move projects forward while maintaining rigorous compliance standards. His experience working across federal, state, and local regulatory programs brings valuable insight to landowners, investors, and conservation stakeholders seeking to capitalize on emerging environmental opportunities.

Josh holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Organismic Biology from Northeastern State University and a Master of Science in Environmental Management from Oklahoma State University. He is also a Certified Wetland Delineator, an FAA-licensed pilot and commercial drone pilot, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Biology at the University of Tulsa.

Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Josh will support projects nationwide as LandVest continues to grow its capabilities in mitigation banking, conservation, and environmental crediting. His depth of experience, technical expertise, and passion for conservation make him a tremendous addition to the team—and an exciting resource for clients navigating the evolving natural capital landscape.
