LandVest closed some of the biggest real estate deals in New England last year. Among the many high-end transactions handled by our team in 2024, several properties sold as the highest-priced home in their respective markets during the entire year.

LandVests Institutional Land Group had another remarkable year finishing 2024 with $1 Billion in sales on 445,000 acres in 15 states and 3 countries ($2,225 per acre). This compares with last years performance of $775 million on 279,000 acres across 20 states.

LandVest had another productive year in 2023, closing nearly $800 million in sales within our Institutional Land Group. We represented our clients across 19 states transacting almost 280,000 acres of land. The market was mixed in 2023 across sectors with strong demand for scaled institutional forestland portfolios, while the market for retail and mid-sized land properties softened.

Forestland markets have changed substantially in the past 18-24 months, perhaps more rapidly than at any other time in recent history. Throughout the pandemic (March 2020 onwards), we saw a substantial increase in transaction activity.
