LandVest Announces New Leadership Succession

BOSTON - April 4, 2019

LandVest, Inc. recently announced the Board of Directors unanimously approved a leadership succession effective April 1, 2019.

David Rosen has been elected Chair of the Board of Directors. Ruth Kennedy Sudduth has been elected Vice Chair. Joseph Taggart has been promoted to President. Slater Anderson has been promoted to Vice President, Managing Director of Real Estate.

The Board also reaffirmed Tina Bourgeois as CFO/COO, and Maya Elisayeff as Vice President Marketing Operations.

Joe Taggart joined LandVest in 2000 to lead the institutional timberland consulting and transaction business in the Southern and Western US. Since that time, he has held positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as the Executive Vice President of Timberlands. He has been a member of the Board of Directors and Senior Management Team since 2012. In his new role, Joe will have responsibility for all corporate functions, including continued direct oversight of the Timberlands Division.

Slater Anderson is a 20-year veteran of the company. Slater first developed LandVest's enterprise GIS platform in the late 1990s, later transitioning into project management for the Real Estate Consulting group, including appraisal, planning and transaction work. In his new role, Slater will be responsible for the Real Estate Consulting and Residential Brokerage segments of the businesses, under a combined Real Estate Division platform. Slater has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2012.

"Marking the beginning of our next 50 years in business, this transition signals both the continuity and innovation that are LandVest hallmarks", noted David Rosen, Chairman of the Board. "Joe and Slater have been key drivers in the growth we have experienced over the past several years. Their deep knowledge and dynamic leadership will drive superior service for our clients. Concurrently, this enables Ruth and me to lead at the Board level and to focus on growing the business and assisting clients."
