 Home is where the heart is and we have always loved Yarmouth, a charming waterfront village on the southern coast of Maine within 11 miles of Portland. It seems were not the only ones who think its a great place to live. Business Insider examined data on 300 suburbs for its ranking of the 50 Best Suburbs in America and it is no surprise that Yarmouth made the list. For this list, "suburbs with populations between 5,000 and 100,000 within 40 kilometers of the nearest metropolitan area" were considered. They also factored in the "average commute times, median household income, poverty and crime rates, public school ratings from GreatSchools.org, and a measure of housing affordability."
