Live, Work and Play All in One Grand Place

This Former Bank Has It All

Recently, many Americans have been experiencing what it's like to work from home. Perhaps you fall into the category of people who loved being able to wake up and be at your office just steps away. Well, at this unique property in the heart of downtown Bennington, VT, your workspace can always be just steps away.

At The Historic Marble Bank At Four Corners, you will never have to commute to work again, with a three-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse living area on the second floor over a great commercial space that could be used for a variety of endeavors. This first-floor commercial space has a long history and is currently a working retail art gallery. Formerly a First National Bank, the building still retains many unique amenities a bank would provide, including working vaults and an impressive marble teller counter.

Start your day with coffee at your kitchen table, sunlight streaming in through from the skylight in the hallway. Head to work by simply descending the stairs into the retail space below to open up shop. After a day of business, retire just upstairs to take in the sunset and views of the Green Mountains, or you can head just up the street for an evening on the town. Take in a show across the street at Oldcastle Theatre Company or grab a bite to eat and a local brew at one of the many craft breweries downtown. Take an after-dinner stroll through one (or both) of the brand-new public parks that are on either side of the property.

Shoppers (or clients/customers depending on your business type) are greeted by a fully-preserved Gilded Age grand entrance. The exterior is entirely marble with copper detailing, and a grand clock face dominates the beautifully-carved front entrance. Sited on the main intersection of downtown, the street is lined with quaint general stores and restaurants.

The expansion will include townhouses, offices, restaurants, and retail spaces while preserving the historic buildings that are already in place, blending an urban modern feel with the history that Bennington is known for.
