Stacks of photo albums sit on the table next to the fireplace at Selcombeand capture the daily life of a summer placein Brookline, Vermont over the last one hundred years. Five generations have loved this 750-acre hill farm with its swimming hole, 1819 brick Cape and English-style barn. Each generation has pasted in photosandrecordeda caption and dates in neat handwriting of visits to the farm. The photos change from black and white to color over time, but the stories remain the same. Below are a fewimages snapped sometime between 1928-1938.

Camping connected each generation with nature and a love of the land, whichthey carried forward in life.

The maple tree is long gone, but the bell continues to ring everyone in to supper. The stone bench to the right is now surrounded by tall ferns.
Just as it was one hundred years ago,Selcombe is suitable to practice sustainable agriculture, keep horses or just to breathe. The investment value of the property is underpinned by just over 700 forested acres.
