This past November 17, more than 40 alumni, close to twenty parents past and present, and a dozen special guests made the 2016 St. Mark's Career Day a success. Lanse Robb (Principal at LandVest and graduate of St. Marks), Sophie Soman (Project Manager), and Maya Elisayeff (Vice President of Marketing) were happy to support this endeavor and bring students the opportunity to explore a career in real estate, sales, and marketing.
Often a staple at colleges and universities, St. Marks School is one of the first prep schools to bring Career Day to its students. The objective of this day is to provide students with a dynamic and tangible experience that facilitates a connection between their academic pursuits and potential professional endeavors in the future. It encourages students to explore their interests and passions as an extension of their academic program and in the process better understand themselves, their community, and the world.
Students participated in interactive exercises which included determining list prices and sale prices of sometimes complex properties. Discussion topics focused on the importance of finding a mentor and starting to build your personal, digital footprint.
LandVest is proud of its involvement in Career Day and was able to meet and interact with talented students, other alumni, and presenters from around the world.
