LandVest's New Office Expands Service in SC, NC, VA, and TN

TimberlandNewsbannerIn order to better serve our clients and broaden our market presence, LandVest is proud to announce the opening of a new office in Lexington, South Carolina. Headed by Jonathan McGrath, the location in the greater Columbia area allows LandVest to better service South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee, assisting clients with the acquisition, management, and disposition of unique land assets. Building upon the locations in Americus and Atlanta, Georgia, LandVest seeks to provide the highest level of service to timberland owners throughout the entire US South.

The Columbia area was a natural fit for our expansion plans, noted Joe Taggart, Executive Vice President of Timberland Transactions and Natural Resource Consulting. It allows us to be more responsive to our clients in Virginia and the Carolinas which have been a growing component of our business. At the same time, it brings us closer to the plantation and trophy retreat properties of the low country a mainstay of our marketing and consulting businesses.

Inside Bottom

2015 proved to be an active year for timberland sales throughout the US, and 2016 is predicted to be equally exciting. As housing and forest products markets continue to improve, new and seasoned investors alike are looking to timberland for portfolio diversification and wealth preservation. Other alternative investments such as oil & gas and precious metals continue to perform poorly, spawning new-found interest in this long-respected asset which provides annual yield, capital appreciation, and can also serve as a personal retreat.

Nowhere is this as true as the US South. With large investments in forest products facilities in the region, excellent access to markets, long growing seasons, and short rotations, the southern-yellow pine region in particular garners perennial interest from an array of investors.

LandVests Timberland Marketing and Natural Resource Consulting team is a national leader in the management, disposition and value-added consulting of timberland investments. Contact us to find out how we can enhance the potential of your natural resource investment strategy.
