LandVest Sets Record with Sale of Eastern Prom Classic in Portland, ME

LandVest has been bringing great New England properties to the global marketplace since 1968. Its particularly fun for us to see a New England Classic re-imagined for the 21st century. Portlands Eastern Promenades grand-dames, with their magnificent views over the bay, are some of the loveliest places to live in this vibrant seacoast city. Like many urban centers, their fortunes rose and fell and rose again with the revitalization of urban living throughout the country.

130 Eastern Prom began its life at the beginning of the last century as Ye Longfellow Inn providing guests with sweeping lawns and summer breezes off Casco Bay.

Its latest incarnation is a four-unit luxury condominium, with an elevator, three to four bedrooms and three baths. Beautifully finished, each unit has a floor-through layout with decks overlooking the Eastern Promenade and the same great view of the many of the three hundred and sixty-five islands in Casco Bay extolled by the early 1900s postcard above.

LandVests task was to bring out the new units at record sales levels for Portland--a characteristic challenge for our team. Challenge met: $1,700,000 or $893 per square foot, more than double the previous record for the last decade of $420 per square foot.

Combine a great property with excellent brokers, superb outreach and top-notch presentation and thats a recipe for success. Karen N. Reiche and John Saint-Amour of LandVest Portland leveraged their market knowledge and both Christies and LandVests outreach and top-flight presentation of 130 Eastern Promenade helped deliver the sale.

One unit at 130 Eastern Promenade remains available, if you would like your own piece of Portland, Maine history (and those water views!).
