Youve seen the trailer, now see what makes Manchester-by-the-Sea so special
LandVest was invited to attend a private screening of Manchester-by-the-Sea at the iconic Cabot Theatre (which LandVest sold in 2015) and was excited to see one of its favorite seaside towns on the big screen!
Look for scenes shot not only in Manchester-by-the-Sea but also in neighboring Essex, Rockport, and Beverly.

The scene at the Beacon Marine Basin was shot at 211 E. Main Street in Gloucester, and a few shots of Manchester Harbor were shot right from the LandVest office! There is a scene of Casey Affleck actually leaving our office at 48 Central Street!
We also spotted Captain Dusty's Ice Cream, Its an institution!
Here are a few reasons we love Manchester-by-the-Sea!
- Its by the sea. Singing Beach really does sing as you walk.
- Coolidge Reservation has 64 acres of walking trails that lead to ocean views of the Boston skyline.
- Festival by the Sea. A fun and annual summertime event in July.
- The new it restaurant. Superfine Food has an eclectic menu, and serves breakfast!
When you see the predicted-Oscar-nominated film and fall in love with the area, we are here to help you find a home there. Here are a few of our favorites:
33 Proctor Street | 73 Bridge Street | Apple Trees |
