LandVest Successfully Brokers Solar Farm Projects

Solar power is just one of many environmental assets that can generate healthy returns and provide effective, diversified investment portfolio opportunities. Here are three recent projects that our Environmental and Energy Asset Group (EEAG) has successfully brokered between landowners and developers.

1. County Road, Marion, MA

Cranberry farmers own an 8.2 acre hay field adjacent to their bogs. To increase the utility of their land, LandVest negotiated a lease for a 1-Megawatt Solar energy system. The 25-year lease provides annual income for the landowners and helps offset the costs of operating their cranberry business.

2. Baldwinville Road, Phillipston, MA

The landowners wanted to repurpose their 30.4 acres which were previously used for excess auto parts inventory. LandVest negotiated a 25-year lease for a 1-Megawatt Solar energy system to be built on the previously cleared acreage.

3. New Athol Road, Orange, MA Parcel

The landowners had rented out their extra garage on a 4.8 acre property in Orange. To maximize the potential income from the property, LandVest negotiated a lease for an 800-Kilowatt energy system. The new system will replace the garage and excess acreage, and produce income for the landowners for the next 25 years.
