We asked LandVest broker and lifelong Cape Cod local, Jamie Crowley, to give us a locals guide to the best Falmouth beaches to take your kids to... Pack up your beach towels, umbrellas, coolers, water wings and sunscreen.
Falmouth has over 68 miles of pristine coastline. There are three beaches that I think are great for families with young children. The water is warm, the waves aren't too high, and the sand is soft. 
With its large sandbar, kids love Stoney Beach in Woods Hole. The crystal blue water reaches 80 degrees. Its shallow and sandy, perfect for a great day at the beach. Jumping off Paradise Rock is a favorite rite of passage.
Woodneck Beach with its tidal creeks is another favorite beach location for kids to explore. When the wind is blowing off of Buzzards Bay, the creeks provide a sanctuary to discover marine life including fiddler and hermit crabs and fish of all sizes. Snorkeling and riding the currents on a boogie board can provide hours of fun. 
Nothing can match the panoramic vista from Nobska Beach with Martha's Vineyard in the distance. It's a short walk along the beautiful, scenic bike path from Woods Hole Village. Less crowded, you have room for running, flying a kite, and throwing a ball with your kids. To take a break from the sun, Nobska Lighthouse is a great place to have a picnic lunch and enjoy the views of the coastline, Elizabeth Islands, and Martha's Vineyard.
Most importantly, the ice cream truck visits all of these beaches a few times a day!
