Presidents (Obama, Clinton, Kennedy, Grant) and countless celebrities have come to The Vineyard to take in the salted breeze, ocean-infused cuisine, quaint towns, secluded estates and familiar faces of friends and family who return year after year. Should you visit, be warned, the island has a way of luring visitors back. Last weekend the Obamas finished up their 6th visit. After a certain number of visits, the lure sets firmly, and fortunate vacationers become owners.
