Andy Holmes joined LandVest in 2023 as District Forester based in Olympia, Washington. He serves as Forest Resources Manager for a diverse portfolio of separately held timberland investments spanning nine counties across Washington and Oregon. The portfolio includes fragmented ownerships carved from larger industrial timberland holdings, many situated within increasingly developed rural-fringe areas.

Before joining LandVest, Andy managed a range of private forest properties and developed extensive experience in timberland dispositions and inventory analysis for institutionally owned assets. As a sell-side forestry and real estate specialist, he handled sale unit composition, optimizing offerings to align with buyer demand while maximizing value for clients, including Plum Creek and Hancock Timber Resource Group.

Andy began his career as an inventory forester on a 30,000-acre private ownership in Washington’s Olympic rainforest. Early roles in the public sector included timber cruising and land survey work, providing a strong technical foundation that later supported his transition into timber sale procurement consulting for domestic mills and export markets. Over the course of his career, he has also served as a presales forester, harvest manager, timber appraiser, check cruiser, and court-appointed referee in land and timber disputes.
