Open House Sunday the 25th 11-1pm! The August Haus, once known as the Wedgewood Inn, this distinctive circa-1835 historic home offers 7 bedrooms, 3 baths and remarkable character in the heart of Schoharie. Set on just over half an acre, the home showcases wide-plank wood floors, large glass-pane windows, decorative marble fireplaces, front and rear staircases, a primary suite, abundant closets and multiple living, dining and flex spaces. Generous windows fill the home with natural light, while a full walk-up attic provides exceptional additional storage. Formerly operated as a bed and breakfast, the home's spacious and versatile layout lends itself beautifully to entertaining, hosting guests, working from home or simply enjoying the space and craftsmanship of a historic Upstate New York residence. Outside, mature trees, hydrangeas and perennial gardens create a secret-garden setting, complete with a pond beneath a Japanese maple and a welcoming rear porch overlooking the grounds. A covered drive adds architectural interest, while the oversized detached 3-bay garage offers capacity for approximately 6 vehicles, plus impressive hobby, workshop and storage possibilities. Enjoy small-town living surrounded by the scenic Schoharie Valley's farm stands, shops, dining and year-round recreation, with convenient access to Albany and Albany International Airport, the Catskills, Cooperstown and connections toward New York City. Historic charm, substantial space and a setting unlike anything you'll find in newer construction.
