The swimming pond up the hill converts to pond hockey in the winter, and the other three ponds host diverse wildlife all year round. The family hosted an annual cider pressing and school nature trips to the vernal pool, invented adventures in the woods, skied on the trails and raced on sleds down the long meadows.
