We worked with Story to find a very unique Lake Champlain property. He listened carefully to our dreams and found a true Diamond in the Rough. It had been on the market for several years and seemed under-appreciated. With work, it has met our needs perfectly. The negotiation was complicated by neighbor issues and some difficult personalities. Story was a master at keeping everyone calm and focused on a good outcome. His personal charm and negotiating skills were only exceeded by his understanding of the subtle facets of Real Estate law. He worked tirelessly for us, he made the experience pleasurable, and with his extra effort, found us a property that we'll pass on to our kids. We have not worked with a better agent!

Very matter of Story has a very subtle way of getting his point across. Very careful in what he says. No high pressure exhibited. Controls his anxieties and maintains a steady gait. He is friendly but doesn't let himself get in the way of business. A person of integrity and one who supports you in a very constructive manner. Would certainly employ him again if required.

Story is unfailingly tactful, patient, good-humored, kind, and polite even in the most trying of circumstances. We had a very rare and unusual property with a somewhat unpopular style of house on about 145 acres so settling on the right price was a challenge with nothing similar to use as a comparison. He put a lot of work into this aspect of the sale and was extremely thorough in inspecting the acreage and house and coming up with a range of possibilities for pricing as well as detailed marketing suggestions. Story found the perfect buyer in a tough market and we closed within 6 months of listing. He earned every penny of his commission and has our admiration and gratitude.

Story is a wonderful real estate professional. He is conscientious, thorough, and knows Vermont! We had a sale on our home when others are still struggling. He helped us when we were looking for another home, but to our advantage we knew the owner and made our own deal. He was pleased for us and genuinely cared about our choice. Simply the best real estate agent we have ever dealt with. My wife and I have bought and sold over 20 properties. Our property had a pond, tennis court, horse barn, guest house , main house and 100+acres. Story presented it comprehensively in writing and pictures. Excellent follow-through on negotiations and closing.
